It is such a joy to help the younger students create their own path here at UC Santa Barbara by sharing my personal experiences. Every student I've mentored has reached out to me on their own volition, passionately and actively wishing to pursue what interests them. Cofounding BIOME along with Chana Sachs and Shawhin Shahriari is one of my proudest moments. I hope BIOME continues to grow and make as big of an impact on everyone else involved as it has me.

After attending my first BIOME seminar as a sophomore and meeting with my mentor, Paige Ruiz, to discuss the Pharmacology major, I knew I had found the perfect major for me. Amidst all of the exceptional options that UCSB provides to its students, determining the best path for you can be extraordinarily difficult. Thanks to the guidance Paige provided me, I not only was beyond excited for my future study, but I was equipped to excel in a very challenging major. Since diving into Pharmacology, I have loved every single second of it. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to give to other students the guidance, support, and confidence I received.
